The 2nd association meeting held at Hornsby on Saturday April 28th was very successful with some contractors coming from the Central Coast and as far as Newcastle. It was a productive day with all participating in discussions on various issues and concerns. A positive step was taken in resolving these issues with news of our nominated representative from Shared Services who is willing to listen to Contractors concerns.

A meeting for the Assisted School Travel Contractors Association is to be held at 1pm on Saturday the 28th April at the Hornsby RSL Club. Non members are also welcome. To become a member prior to the start, a committee member will be there from midday.

Wheelchair 1-3: Was 158.16 Now 197.89
Wheelchair 4+: Was 194.16 Now 263.64
Pay Rates have a percentage increase. 30 klm (approx. 25%); 31klm to 100klm (approx. 18% -36%); 101klm plus (approx. 47%)
15% paid for TSOs, (No 5klm minimum)

The department have decided to stand by their decision to pay lower rates to operators transporting less students in larger vehicles. For this term only, they will reimburse those that weren’t told of this prior to accepting their run, but next term those same lower rates will apply.
