Establishing Estimations

It was hard enough with the structure of the Tender and the job requirements to make estimations based on nothing, yet we were to get as accurate a price as possible to submit. Imagine then, having to estimate for this new addition of unpaid loaded kilometres that we would have needed to include for this “so called” Included Allowance.

We had to estimate for a run that we may or may not get.

We had to estimate the Paid km’s for the estimated run that we may or may not get.

We had to estimate the Unpaid km’s attached to the estimated Paid km’s for the estimated run that we may or may not get.

We then had to estimate in which Category we may get the estimated run to include the estimated Vehicle price to add to the estimated Running costs for the estimated run that we may or may not get.

Then it was necessary to estimate the Time spent driving the estimated number of Students that could be attached to the estimated Category to include in the estimated overall costs for the estimated run that we may or may not get.

Perhaps it was best this new scheme was not devised at the time, otherwise we would have had to estimate an amount of Loaded km’s that SHOULD be paid, but will actually NOT be paid. Then subtract them from the estimated Km’s that WILL be paid, add them to the estimated unloaded km’s that WILL NOT be paid, then include them in our estimated Expenses for the Estimated run – that we may or may not get.
